Katie Glover is a multidisciplinary artist working in photography and videography. She has been refining her skills over the past two years at University and has begun to establish her style as a self-shooting director as well as a keen photographer. Her work aims to communicate her passions with a wide range of audiences and is often focused on breaking stereotypes surrounding her interests and ethos.
Katie has made a short film documenting a day in the life of isolation- how she and her family are keeping busy and keeping in contact with others, all to help combat the feeling of loneliness during this lockdown. The work balances the feelings of isolation with the activities she and her family are doing to keep busy through the use of sound and motion. Moments of silence and reflection are juxtaposed with the hum of activity in the house to visualise how though the country has paused, she and her family are keeping busy within their house. Katie wants this juxtaposition to say: “We are in isolation, but this is how we are copin”.
